ABOUT MEFirst Year Education Student
How I Got Here; I was born in Waterloo, Ontario to a single mother. I have never met my father and have never had a positive male role model in my early childhood years. My mother married a military man when I was in grade 7 and we moved to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Here I got involved with the Moose Jaw Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) through hundreds of hours of volunteer work what got me noticed for commitment of work and had a job offered to me as a programmer for their summer program. When I accepted this position after completing Grade 11, it really opened up my eyes to how I could be a positive male role model for kids, something I never had. I am proudly still employed by MFRC and love what I do their, I love working alongside kids. Thus I look to pursue a career in the Education field and have no doubts that ill fail my journey as I am working towards something I love to do! |
